Here are some answers to some frequently and not so frequently asked questions.

How long before SenseDeep will have checked my cloud configuration?

After creating your account, SenseDeep will immediately start scanning your account. Depending on the scale of your account, this may take a few seconds or a couple of minutes to complete. When complete, you can see the record of the scan under your Alert Scans.

Does SenseDeep support AWS Autoscale EC2 servers?

Yes, SenseDeep will manage servers that are created via AWS Autoscale. When new instances are launched by AWS, SenseDeep will automatically discover the server. When an instance is terminated due to Autoscale, SenseDeep will automatically remove the instance from the list of managed EC2 hosts.

If you wish to use the SenseDeep agent on servers created via AutoScale, you should include the SenseDeep agent in your launch AMI. Alternatively, you can install the SenseDeep agent via the AWS Launch Configuration user data.

Why is my Background Events Chart empty?

If your EC2 servers are running the SenseDeep agent or are not listening on commonly scanned ports, then your servers are effectively hidden from background scanning and probing. Well done!

How long is the SenseDeep evaluation trial period?

The SenseDeep evaluation period is 14 days.

How can I change my password?

You can change your password at: Account Password

How do I cancel my account?

Go to Account Billing and click on the red Close my Account button at the bottom.
